The joy of bright summer moments is a breaking
Of silence. The wild green swell and the sweet singing
Of birds are Nature's gifts. The fragrance of flowers
And the constant unfolding of their rich colours
Delight the senses of true poets and artists.
O they translate the textures of light and the bliss
Of rivers and trees in slow, solitary hours!
Observe subtle rhythms and rhymes of their powers.
O their work is sacred in a secular age!
Each rich brushstroke and each well penned line on the page
Throb with meaning and suggest myriad arrays
Of possibilities. They are not seeking praise
Or reward. These wide -eyed creators only seek
To highlight the sun lit paths of summery dreams.
