The Journey Of Us Poem by Byantuyo Rahim

The Journey Of Us

In twilight's glow, I found your gaze,
A fiery warmth, a golden haze.
Your smile, a song, a gentle art,
It lit the corners of my heart.

We danced beneath the moonlit skies,
In whispered words and longing sighs.
Your touch was soft, your voice a stream,
I lived within a waking dream.

Our laughter rang, our hands entwined,
A love so rare, so hard to find.
Each promise made, each vow so deep,
A treasure safe for us to keep.

But time revealed its bitter twist,
A growing void, a fading mist.
The laughter waned, the silence grew,
A truth too sharp, too cold, too true.

The fights began, the tears would flow,
A love once bright turned faint and slow.
Your words cut deep, your gaze grew dim,
The light we shared began to slim.

One final glance, one last goodbye,
A shattered heart, a hollow cry.
The pieces lay where love once grew,
A painful end, but overdue.

Though love may fade, its scars remain,
A lesson carved in joy and pain.
For every fall, a rise must come,
A mended heart, a stronger drum.

Though broken now, I still believe,
In love's sweet gift, in what it weaves.
The heart will heal, the soul will sing,
And love, again, will spread its wings.
