In the first stanza, likening yourself to the Sun and this is beautiful The second i am less sure about but i read it as feeling slightly envious of these people, as because you donot have your wife beside you: -(it makes watching them with your bright eyes very painful (not sure what gift in hand s to hives means) the people (flowers who's lives you have brightened will ofcourse remember you! some one who has loved this deeply is someone to know and cherish (third Stanza) and yes your wife is waiting patiently, more beautiful than ever, so please she would want you to try your hardest to live happily and because of this there is no reason to hate! ! (as you can see I rested my head on the shoulder of this poem and gave it a cuddle! x
