The mystic monk
and poet directs
all his faculties,
cognitive, effective
and conative,
to the discovery
of the real self.
It is just letting
the divine image
come out and
manifest itself
in our lives
by the way
in which we live.
Before a man
can be open to God
or his fellow men,
he must be open
to himself.
The journey inward
has a destination
beyond personal identity.
