ଯାତ୍ରା-ତିରିଶ

ସତ କୁହ
କେତେ ସତ ତମେ, କେତେ ସତ ମୁଁ,
ଆଉ କେତେ ସତ ଆମ ପ୍ରେମ?

କେତେ ସତ
ଦିଗବଳୟ ସେପାଖର ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ,
ବାଦଳ ଓଢଣା ତଳେ ଲୁଚିଥିବା ଜହ୍ନ?

କେତେ ସତ
ମୁରୁଦ୍ୟାନର ସବୁଜିମା,
ଆଈମାର ଅସରନ୍ତି ଗପ,
ଫରୁଆ ଭିତରେ ରାଜକୁମାରୀର ଜୀବନ?

କେତେ ସତ
ମୋ ସ୍ବପ୍ନ, ତୁମ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା,
ମୋ ଆଖିରୁ ଲହୁ ହୋଇ
ବୋହୁଥିବା ତୁମ ଟୋପା ଟୋପା ଲୁହ

ସତ କୁହ
ତୁମେ ମୋତେ କେତେ ଭଲପାଅ,
ଆଉ ମୁଁ — କେତେ ଭଲପାଏ ତୁମକୁ?

ସତ କୁହ
କେବେ ମାପିଛ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ଗଭୀରତା,
ଅନୁଭବ କରିଛ ଆକାଶର ଶୂନ୍ୟତା?

ତେବେ
ମୁଁ କାହିଁକି ମୁଁ?
ତୁମେ କାହିଁକି ତୁମେ?
ଆଉ ଆମ ଭିତରେ କାହିଁକି ଏତେ ଦୂରତା?

Tell the truth
How true are you, how true am I,
And how true is our love?

How true
Is the sun on the horizon,
Or the moon hidden beneath a veil of clouds?

How true
Are the lush greens of the Oasis,
The endless tales of grandma,
The life of the beautiful princess inside the box?

How true
Are my dreams, your pain,
And your tear after tear
That flows like blood from my eyes?

Tell the truth
How much do you love me,
And I—how much do I love you?

Tell the truth
Have you ever measured the depth of the ocean,
Felt the emptiness of the sky?

Then
Why am I who I am?
Why are you who you are?
And why is there such a distance between us?
