The Jostle Of Greed Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Jostle Of Greed

The crown they know I know
And the community too
It is for a head
They know
I know
The community too

The head is in the chain
We know

Why then the jostle
For the crown they know I know
And the community too

Who wears the crown?
They know
I know
The community too
But greed keeps the truth obscure

How much longer conscience suffers?
Who knows?
Not they
Not I
Not the community

Maybe till ancestors cause darkness at noon
And many sleep permanently still
To caution other on truth
