The Jailer's Key Comments

I gave this a 9, but only for technical reasons. It is a special poem. GW62

Alison, as someone once said it takes two to make a marriage work. Another person said you have to live with a person to really know what they are like. If you do that before you accept, then you know what your getting into. It is then the Jailer's key doesn't apply. Great poem. Top Marks. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David

The Jailor's Key is certainly an excellent metaphor for entrapment in an unsatisfying marriage. I suspect this poem might be based on personal experience - it certainly rings with a particular kind of truth. And you're right, of course. Nice. I like the 'image'. Alison...marriage is a great institution! However, I must admit, when I was 'paroled' many years ago...I have not committed that crime again! I've gone through a rehabilitation that has cured those temptations. Good write. L
