The claim may sound thin,
Sending the parade home in tears,
But what about the irony of water?
A multi-purpose life function,
It cleans, nourishes, sustains...
But also erodes
Mold, a fatal intruder to personal effects and infrastructure
Floods, an unfortunate force of nature,
Contaminating neighborhoods and dwellings across all plains of the Earth
But yet, humankind's bodies live on H2o,
Restoring and maintaining organ functionality, moisturizing and lending flexibility to our skin
We can't live without it,
But it does offer moments when it gets in the way
