The Internship's Conclusion Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Internship's Conclusion

Mid morning light, necrophiliac newsprint, temporary workstation was more than adequate
Aggressive mentor, mind instead of reflex body, trained critical creation

Does the dullest encountered wield the sharpest tool?
Wit splits assigned research and piled up manuscripts

Past tense malarkey, please prepare the parcel, grab and transport the folded chairs
Professional try-out, hopeful burnout, free lunch of various dishes catered for the staff

Events maintain an intiate's tone
It all hinges on your reaction
Assessment of paralysis is mandatory

Some who worked and earned and some who did not
The duties of an apprentice praying mantis
Hard collision of where books meet world
