The Inpiration Of A Poet Comments

This is a deligtful poem. It's sweet, uncomplicated joy and wonder spill out of it, there are no dark windows and sunlight streams across the landscape making everything warm and bright. You've discovered inspiring painting by Poussin. I discovered his work a few years ago, much to my surprise.You'l be happy to learn he was the noblest of men, no scandal swirled around him, he was devoted to painting and Catholicism. He painted subjects from Greek/Roman history and myth and the Bible and Catholic Faith. To him it was all God's Universe. He lived most of his life in Rome to be close to the Churches and that special quality of light which painters find uniquely Roman. And now in this later day Poussin is inspiring Y-O-U! The angels dance, the putti wave flower aromas into the air, the saints chant prayers and W-E SMILE! !
