Yes Valerie, you are correct; Have witnessed a lot of smallness and pettiness in the poetry world and way too much jealousy...accusations of plagerisms and downright destroying of another's reputation...truly believe that so much is born out of jealousy and feeling threatened by another poet as perhaps becoming more popular or out shining them; They have attitudes that they are above the rest of us. It is time to let these poets go from our lives and for us to start concentrating on the wonderful words of others who do not have spite, malice or envy on their agenda's.
There will always be those who choose to try and undermine the work of others, whilst labouring under the delusion that their own work is above such criticism. Everyone's work is the product of their own imagination or experience and should be valued for that. Interesting write Theo.
Thank you Hari! Yes, it is unfortunate. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
To change color like Chameleon is bad.I hate this tendency.Loved this work.
Yes, David it was meant to be a thought-provoker...for so many reasons...the most important being- -that we as writers should be honest, not set out to deliberately set out to ruin someones reputation, or have any personal malice in our hearts. Honest praise is the only praise worth having and finding out the hard way about some poets was a real wake-up call for me...praising some as butter would melt in their mouths and then behind their back talking bad about them and it is still going on at least on another poetry site.
