The Impeachment Of Donald Jean Tuck Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Impeachment Of Donald Jean Tuck

The impeachment of Donald Jean Tuck
Is sad; it is a true amateur political theater.
Congress did a fine and honest job in the first act,
However, the Senate played the role of the lawbreaker
In the second act. We found out that some lawyers
Are very good actors. They are formidable impostors.
They can effectively debate both sides of the issues.
After days of arguing and haggling, there were no tissues
Left for the thunderstruck audience to blow their nose.
Many people were weeping. Folks, sometimes the foes
Win regardless of the evidence; that's partisan politics.
Biased jurors ignore the facts, they're afraid to convict
The culprit, fearing reprisals. This is unjust. There's no justice.
The overwhelming evidence was thrown out of court.
The complainants' lawyers were upset, dismayed and short
Of breath. Another victim got cheated, that's not new.
That's how it is in sports and politics. The winner got booed.
The public felt disgusted. Again, the people got screwed.
What a waste of time and money! Some politicians are above
The law. This is sad. The loser, as a reward, got a torn glove.
This was a bad precedence; a liar just got away with murder.
As long as, he or she is rich, famous, devious, and sitting on power;
A goon can beat the system. However, one day, history will render
Justice to the people, it'll be too late. Yet, we dream of a better future.
History is not blind. The taxpayers are not blind and stupid; they're alive.
They learned their lessons. Next time, they'll be prudent before they dive.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We want justice for the American people. We want to restore decency, respect, transparency, law and order in the government. Nobody is above the law. Foreign nations never used to dare interfering in American elections. Inviting privately or public other countries in elections is a violation of the US Constitution. Some of you read something but they don't fully comprehend the subject.
