The first conscious thoughts upon waking are comforting, innocent and reassuring. We are residents in our ever so limited body, and without it we would not awaken.

Wonderful. I too love the quiet of morning, alone with my thoughts. I have even been known to light a candle.
The cave, a womb, a place of peace, a place for contentment and stillness. In the arms of silence. Every day you fall into the mystery. Perspective, insight, peace in harmony with the moment in your candlelit cave.
Cannot imagine life without some silence and space Edmund. It's interesting I notice how much the poets on p.h. mention silence, stillness and quiet.
There is a sense of grandiose under the verses.
