The Human Chorus Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Human Chorus

The Human Chorus

This is our voice, it is also yours,
It could be for all earthlings the sum totals,

Minus, plus, equal or divided,
Everything said, done or went wrong,

Plus the time of the year it's Christmas,
Men belonging to one genetic womb,
Women with multiple faces,

The birds and the trees,
The sinews and all the eco system as one simple chorus,

In one magistration, one uniting parade of all thefaces on earth,

That we over came the fires and the hells of segragations,
Barely scratch, wounded, or died in battles,
All the callous confusions of the dark times,

But peace will never lose its the power of healing,
To overcome ourbiases, predudices andradical identities,

We are still in the process of creating
The universal conduct of the human race.
