There is a wolf that watches over me—
I don't know if he is a friend, or if he is foe.
He watches me from afar (silently; peacefully) :
He does not mean to wish me any harm.
One day, in a dream, he will seek me out,
And call me to follow him into the night.
I will run with him; with the wolf:
And he will howl my name.
But, carried by the wind, he will leave a message:
‘I am the She-Wolf, and I am the leader of the pack—
Run with me, child, and we will hunt;
Come with me, child, for we are family.'
And I will follow her blind—my newfound mother—
Who brings me into her home where I belong:
Wild and free. Friends with the ravens.
I am a wolf, and with the wolves is where I will be.
