The House Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

The House

Rating: 5.0

O! gentlemen of the stage
Passing the bill of free looting
Vibrating with the voice
Of drunken naira

Throwing chairs
On the house of theatre
A rehearsal for soap opera?

Leaving our
Plaguing bills to
Die without cure.

... Throwing chaiirs. The legislators are busy fighting one another instead of doing the work of law making which they were elected for.
