The Hour Of Happiness

1031 loved the
Hour of Happiness
you will also

This poetry is dedicated to one who has been widowed since long but refuses to accept it even after decades.

Widow who
the last
as sun sets

he still lives within her
hour of happiness

I still spend an hour with you
at the shores
where we met first
that's for sure

till today each day
I spend an hour with you
as if 'twere just yesterday
now though more than
three decades away

what kind of love
the modern world can show
I wish to know
when we part for ever
for good
who would love the way
I could

today is that day
this never came
I waited for you all the same

but my love hasn't dwindled a bit
step by step I watch the sunset
the distant smiling horizon

I still see your smiling face
‘tis the only life's grace
which has made me live so long
waiting for you
so now come along
and take me along
