i thought the message from you, suggesting i read some poems, said they were written in the 1970s. this certainly must be a more recent writing. true? it is always nice when i see a honey bee; it was not so nice to step on one while wearing no shoes! my mate would destroy Monsanto if she could. [now where DID that nuclear weapon go, which she always kept in her panties drawer. no! weapon! not vibrator! ! ] i have heard that work is being, or at least may be, done to pick out, from other species of bees (there are many) a replacement(s) for the honey bees, ..... just in case. maybe Monsanto is afraid of extinction like some other people are [Einstein does not have to worry! ], and are developing self-pollinating trees and food crops, genetically-engineered of course. bri :) very nice news update. i really don't mind much if mankind goes 'under' soon, but i hope it is painless, AND I'M STOCKING UP ON FOOD AND OXYGEN......just in case! bri ;)

This is a splendid poem, Tan. Bees are more precious than anything I know. You have written a passionate poem with great skill. I'm going to put this in my Favourites' list. I see my friend, Judith, has commented. She feels very deeply about nature, as you do.

You have drawn attention to a very serious problem with bees being killed off by pesticides. It needs to be taken seriously.
