Wow! Terseness is all. Given the kill-frenzy all around us, from individual lives to global politics, the pacifism of the Holy Man comes as a way out. The poem is a call for getting under the shadow of the Red Rock, as T. S. Eliot said. In order to stop this Dionysian dance of death, we've to go back to the comforting fold of religion. Only the Holy Man has the art to appease anger and preach love for all. Dave has masterfully presented the idea in a few lines. A great poem is the one that kicks off the thought process. This poem has done that. Kudos for Dave! Great poet to read.

Let us not committing the sins again and again for the convenience of being forgiven or the blood of the son had already paid. Let us be responsible for our own bad karma, as the great Hinduism taught Buddha, the Hindu founder of Buddhism.
