The Hippies's Tried

Fifty years ago, the hippies tried to bring everyone together,
Spreading, peace, love, for all, across the U.S.A.
The establishment, for fear of loosing their power,
Control, and payments, to full fill, their greed,
Locked some up, while making the rest split up, hide, or leave.

Imagine peace, love, and happiness, throughout our country today,
Look how it is for us living now, by following, the politicians way.
The separation of citizens, children with no respect,
Being killed on the streets, even at schools, more robberies,
car jacking, crimes, more serious every day.
A part of the history, of our country,
The hippies tried, to make America, a better place to stay.

True. Giving up is the luxury of the weak. Keep fighting for what you believe peacefully...like writing a poem
