The Hero Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

The Hero

And then
What began as a play
Ended abruptly;
Things unfolded and repacked
Pushed to the sideline
Had their last nails hammered in,
Criticism was at its peak;
People stood on toes
To watch me pass by,
A lonely figure
Running away from life
On a sodden track
Called the pathway to life,
Wetted through tears.

Tears carrying all fear Even though not this time I'll make a comeback Like a phoenix from ash Nothing is over Until I'm done to master. A thought provoking tragedy and hope that nurtures after every fall if you can listen.
