The Heart's Horizon Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

The Heart's Horizon

Rating: 5.0

The wind of twilight
is teasing--
teasing the water
imprisoned on the lake

like a gentle whisper
to a heart caged
by iron hands...

Ah!
Life is futile
when the heart is not
as free as the wind.

A superb and lovely piece! Thank you for sharing this masterful work of yours! Indeed, life may seem futile when the heart is not free but if the heart is free it must remain in check too—for not all the desires of the heart are wholesome. Excellent work, thank you for sharing!

A beautiful piece, with such superb imagery illustrating a profound point! Well written, with such moving implications. A heart must be free to truly live! And a heart that is caged is dying! A great poem! Thank you for sharing it

Let your heart fly like a kite surfer, skimming across the waters and turned at the Master's hand!
