The Heart Of Heaven Poem by Michael Walker

The Heart Of Heaven

Rating: 5.0

I have felt the Heart of Heaven beat beneath my hand,
And I have smelt the Rose of Paradise,
I have seen the Tears of Angels flow from sea to sand,
And I have drunk the Wine of Sacrifice.

I have listened to the Voice of God whisper with wind,
And I have sensed the Beauteousness of Being,
Yet so much richness has been lost since human souls have sinned,
And thus, we must be blinded in our seeing.

Why do I alone seem to enjoy the mystery?
Perhaps the depths of feeling cannot be uttered aloud,
And so we see souls moving throughout all of history,
The silent and the humble casting down the loud and proud.

No one save Heaven knows all of the secrets of our souls,
Until we reach the port of eternity's sacred shoals.

" Yet so much richness has been lost since human souls have sinned" . Quite true. Man has lost a lot from disobeying God....10.
