तुम सुनसान जगह पर इतनी अकेली क्यों बैठी हो? हमेशा के लिए इन उतरी हुई तारों के साथ रहना है तुम्हें; एक समय तुम्हारा संगीत मधुर था/ अब कौन सुनता है? तुम्हारे ऊपर से जाती पवन व्यर्थ में क्यों आह भरती है? The lamentation of a musical instrument is soulfully portrayed through this excellent poem. Brilliant stars.

The very title -" भारत की वीणा" is so lovely and attractive. For Indians, Veena is a divine instrument, as it is held and played by Goddess Saraswati Herself. Going through the content of the poem, i found the Hindi translation simply fabulous. This goes to my PoemList..... :)

एक वाद्य यन्त्र की पीड़ा और साथ में लुप्त होती हुई संस्कृति को जिस तरह आपने इस अनुवाद से उजागर किया है उसका जवाब नहीं, कवि ने भारत की धरोहर का विशेष वर्णन किया है जिसका मूल्य हम सिर्फ इतिहास के पन्नों में अब देख रहे हैं, एक दर्द होता है जब हम आज उन स्मारक को देखते हैं जो अब खंडहर में तब्दील हो चुके हैं बहुत सी गाथा मन में दबाये हुए, कभी इतिहास का विषय हुआ करता था अब ये राजनीति का विषय बना दिया गया है, " अब कौन वीणा वादिनी से वर मांगेगा, जब वीणा की पीड़ा में हो "
