The Happy Frog Poem by Emma Mcullough

The Happy Frog

Rating: 5.0

In emerald leaves where secrets hide,
A rainforest frog begins to slide,
With jeweled skin and eyes so soft,
Down the leaves of his lofty croft.

Amidst the trees, a ribbetting song,
A melody both sweet and strong,
It leaps through shadows, from branch to tree
Never knowing, never caring, always free.

In the bath of rain-made mud,
He has no care for strife nor blood,
A fragile miracle, alive and glad,
Unknowingly innocent of things so bad.

Oh, humble frog of lush, green grace,
Your beauty blooms in this wild place,
A testament to nature's art—
A tiny wonder with a tiny heart.
