The Greatest Enemy Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

The Greatest Enemy

Rating: 5.0

The Greatest Enemy
It is due misunderstanding, caused by
Generation gap, a minor dispute emerged
With family members in dwelling
That distrubs my peace of mind.
I suddenly notice my distorted shadow
I get irritated with my own reflection
I pick up a cricket bat, attempt
To hit my own deformed shadow
My shadow too picks bat me
And atempts to hit me, I laugh louder
With mystical cause for my foolishness.
After a couple of minutes, get relaxed & calm
I enter kichen, come back witha cup of tea
Suddenly an idea hits me, I pick cup
And offer tea to my shadow,
He too offers tea to me,
He reciprocates everything that I did for him.
Eventually I am enlightened with aprecious wisdom
Hidden mystery behind success and failure of a person
Associated with his own positive and negative attitudes
The greatest enemy of yours, is no other than yourself.
Your evil attitude towards others, paves path for failure
Whereas clarity of your tendency ensures your success.
You need to purify your soul through
Thinking and working for the welfare of others.
Selfless motive filters debris inside you.
The nature of attitudes governs your behaviour
Your behaviour decides your prosperity & adversity
Your attitudes must be clear and pure
Like water worthy for drinking.
