The Great Major, Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The soldier dies a heroic death in the war front,
His lifeless body is lying in front of his father,
Who is a retired Major,
He stares at his dead son;
Though the father's heart weeps in extreme pain and grief,
The Major's eyes shine in joy amid tears,
As he feels proud of his brave son,
He salutes the dead soldier with great reverence.
Such is the glorious character of an army man,
Who considers his nation more important than anything else,
He never yields, but always remains firm and resolute even in the saddest moment of his life.
He conceals his sad feelings under his strong spirit,
