In that early chilly morning,
The cloud was ignited by fire,
The sky ignited by the cloud,

A powerful poem. A vivid depiction of a huge atrocity that stunned the world. The evilness of people in power will always be in the annals of history. A great remembrance of their wickedness will always be in humanity's heart, condemning them and hoping that such atrocity will never be repeated.

Oh, that poem reverberates with pain, Yiyan. There are days that are etched indelibly into the world's conscience never to fade but always to bring that harrowing sense of hopelessness and horror and anger and grief and the good human is hurt by the tragedy in other countries as if it were his own- -because it is. In my favs and it gets top dcotrd

Thank you, Hazel, for your compassion, and the murdered were not just students......The wound is still bleeding after so many years.

Comment Part 2- -.Reminds me of all governments everywhere who fear their countrymen so much that if they disagree with the powers that be they will be shot. You captured the emotional aspects of this event in your colorful and memorable imagery. 10+++++++++

Comment Part 1- Is this The Tiananmen Square protests in Beijiing of 1989 where so many students were murdered? I remember the shock of seeing a government moving against its children with tanks. Reminded me of Nixon so proud of several students being shot by the Army Reserve units while in a sit-in at Kent State in the U.S

Thank you, Marieta. Let's always remember the bright and colorful moments in history though the mankind as a whole is still in darkness.
