But your understatement has a very particular effect on me: it shows you are so certain this grace is real, and is RIGHT NOW flooding the world in its generous presence that you only need to remind us to welcome it. There is no need to be shrill or demanding on your part. We have already received the blessings of this grace, we just have not realized it. That's the gentle message of your poem.
