The Goal Poem by marc molchan

The Goal

the goal

The morning light reveals the cause swoons upon us in its reach. it reveals in its turn the middle sun.

it offers some an entrancing grip of its own: a door or window never seen.

venture to seek its bright hue. the path lays at our feet.

rests humbly on the forests mountain range.

gather up some effort, the curious natures we are all svelt by. all told reach out and greet the witness of the forest.

head bowed we pursue it into its only realm. the Sun Worshiper.

further on it sits upon its way to the goal and the road.

which way we choose benefits us either way but one choice is always needed.

i choose the goal having visited before as a younger boy son.

it greets me and recants its purpose -

to enable to see the light,

not God's light, but the light of day.

so we may reach others who willingly venture forth.
