The Glass You Gave Poem by susette varga

The Glass You Gave

Rating: 5.0

The glass that you gave was never full
Always half empty I never played by your rules
Trying hard to control me
You could not succeed
I am stronger than you
Much more than you know
Do you think i will miss you
And your harsh verbal abuse
No i don't think so
There is not much to miss
I have regained my strength
Will not cow tow to you
Go be with your friend
His wife's mate is cool
I think she is likely
More suited to you
I am taking no more
Your just a fool

The glass given to you was not full but you are not worried. You have self control and courage within. Regaining strength in life is very wise. An interesting poem is brilliantly penned...10
