The Girl Who Used To Comments

in the poet's bio it is written that When i don't feel well, i write a poem. i wonder if this means when SHE is depressed, OR when she has a headache, cold, or painful knee. i try to remember that not all poems are to be taken literally, and that not all poems are biographical (even if they seem to be) . i've added this poem to MyPoemList. i can find very, very little about it that i don't like, and i usually point out at least something i don't like or something with which i disagree, or something i would do differently. to burst in tears in public.....i would write burst INTO tears...a simple mistake? now pretends like she's the best....this is ok, but i am curious to know if the girl pretends and fools herself or pretends (not fooling herself) and thereby tries to fool the people around her. though i feel sorry for victims of depression and have not had to deal with it very much in my life (thank goodness) , i DO think this is a great poem and that it is very well written. thanks for sharing. wecome to poemhunter! [i did feel that part of the bio was written by someone who does not use english all of the time, but the poem and most of the bio would NOT make me think that.]

boys don't like sad girls that's something you should know I didn't know that! did you know she was depressed? When a girl is depressed, it is visible, as a shade is visible in twilight.
