The Girl Next Door Poem by john (called jack) wren

The Girl Next Door

The dark eyed girl from next door
Has bumps in her sweater,
That weren't there before,

Yesterday, I got a kiss and a hug
Now it's only a smile
And a shrug.

Tomorrow it could be only a wave
As she sets her sights
On that prat Dave.

Why oh why do we have to grow up?
Why cant we stay children together?
Please Jean get rid of those bumps
Then we'll hug and kiss forever!
