Raksha Bandhan has great importance in Indian culture. This is a great ode poem to this festival. A thread has great value of affection. Universal relationship of all brothers and sisters is reflected through this great festival. An excellent poem is well penned.10

What a wonderful poem about this festive day, I learned of it not too long ago from my friend in India. It is an absolute treasure the way sisters and brothers strongly and lovingly bond with one another. Wish we had this tradition here in the U.S., it is absolutely divine! Thank you for explaining it in detail, you made it a very heart-felt and special memory in my mind. I felt the sacredness of this particular ceremony as I read your portrayal of this beautiful festival. Very enlightening and peaceful. Thank you, RoseAnn

Beautiful poem to be remembered on Raksha Bandhan day, as the festival is just nearing by. I am reading it once again....With fantastic message... I invite the world To observe this day As the day of love For brother and sister... Loved reading it again. Though I dont have any brothers, but I can think everyone as my brothers, and wish them for long and prosperous life.

Since my childhood I have a lot of love and admiration to this holy and pious festival, i don't know why this festival is my favorite of the following four Hindu festivals which are listed below according to my rating and choice: - 1) Raksha Bandhan 2) Dipavli 3) Dashehra 4) Holi I very much liked your poem.

Very nice.Raksha Bandhan is really a pure thing.Rabindranath Tagore gave it a special meaning during the British rule in India making it a fest. Thanks a lot for this poem on this special day.
