Yet, the foul sorcerer forgot
That no matter the harshness of reality
True love has forever fought
For its own right to actuality
And so, although Lady Death reached to claim
The ill-lucked Prince as her groom
His tender affection for the Enchantress to his aid came
And in a ghostly form, his gentle soul escaped Doom
Left alone with her fate, the Enchantress in the floor kneeled in pain
Tormented by the unjust incomparable loss
That no mind having experienced, could ever remain sane
Suddenly in her hair felt a loving, tender toss
Looking upwards to meet her fallen lover's gaze
A familiar imperceptive frame was what she found
Her fallen Prince having crossed the Maze
That all mortals are forced to wander in the Beyond
Yet by loving affection having prevailed
The tenacious Prince in front of his beloved stood
A soft and warm smile covered his face like a veil
As his invisible hand moved to caress her face in the only way he could
A transmutation in her tormented face occurred
The darkness that clouded her features turned to light
Like an albedo alchemical transformation had just stirred
The marriage of Mercury and Sulphur, as they lovingly unite
A retribution to his fond smile into her face a way found
As once desperate tears into grateful ones turned
Her own hand moving to touch his without a sound
As the lost lovers, into each other's embrace returned
