The Gasp Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Gasp

Maybe it's what you really want
To cinch the collar tight and cut off air
You punch the meat and wait for the delayed thud of love's inequality

Collective shock in uncollected moments
When you gasp and tear down surroundings to find a gray bare bones foundation
As stiff as disappointment guards not reacting to taunting from tourists
And helpless in the face of time's timorous monopoly on faith and truth

The teasing ball and the fun situation
"Go and get it"
The blind acceptance of the dullard, the lolling tongue of the idiot
"Are you really surprised by anything? "

Maybe it's what you really need
I am not knowledgeable about electricity
For the animal senses reason-free appeal
Ties a chain around a chosen collar
And pants heavily when he struggles against it in order to move forward
