Remembrance of God may be in many ways:
The process of remembrance in the heart is jikir
Meditating god in the stations of the body
This jikir is called purifying the lataif/lotifa/
stations of the body:

Jikir revolves round the ARSH of the upper sky with praising mood for the jakeerin
Jikir done in the happiness is remembered when one fall in hardships
Jikir saves one being via from tortures assigned
Jikir brings sakeena
Jikir saves your tongue from backbiting, dishonesty, unnecessary talks etc
Jikir congregation is the assembly of the angels
jikir makes the companions lucky too
Jakeerin/who do jikir will never ever repent in the hereafter
Jakeerin when weeps for allah in the jikir, will be sheltered in the shade of arsh during the the dooms day
Jakeerin will get more reward than the supplicant as he didn't get time but was with god
