The Forlorn Moon Poem by Namita Rani Panda

The Forlorn Moon

Though thronged around by stars
How Forlorn you're!
No one is there to care
No one is there to share
As if an ostracised ouster you're
For the black spots on your face
Though soothing and full of grace!

Though thronged around by dear and near
I'm also lonely and deprived of love and care
As if a parasite on the society
Though an epitome of innocence and beauty!

But like you I'll sail in my sky
No matter what they callously say
To prove that I'm God's noblest grace
Descended to the earth only to solace!
