Alison, u r a true writer, to make a poem that can move one's soul is a great talent. That is what you did to me with both those poems this one and 'A Gift From Heaven.' They're both so sad, so moving. I hope you never stop writing. Smiles N Hugs Rissa: -)
Hugs Ali, your girls will be reborn through your words. I hope this is only the start of the words you have yet to say to these spirits. And maybe thru this you will heal yourself and help others to seek thier darkness and shine the light of release.
Sometimes, I can read a poem, and think to myself, 'Oh, isn't that nice, or truthful or lovely, or well written.' This, however, stirred my desire to want to know the rest of the story. I want to know who 'my darlings' are, and I want to know why they left, and I want to know that this poem reached them and brought about the desired 'reconcilation' that you wish for. As Lawrence said, I identified with this from first word to last, and it twisted my heart. Scarlett
This is so poignant, so tender, so loving......yet sad.....How strong you are.....This one grabs your heart and does not let go! mm.xo
Alison, did you ever read something you wish you had written? Did you ever read 'anything' you felt came from you? This poem is one of those 'pieces' I identify with from the beginning of its expression to the last word. This is an emotional, personal poem that is right up there on the surface. There is no need to probe anywhere. It's there un the face and I love this! This is some great s-! LOL. Congratulations! L
Alison I think Allie's comments mirror my own. It took a lot of courage to write this I hope you get what you wish for. Very moving indeed. Helen xx
This is a very moving, honest piece of writing - methinks you refer to either estranged parents or perhaps children? Either way, the humility and wisdom you demonstrate in this piece is well worth the risk of posting it. I do hope it proves to be the catalyst for reconciliation. love, Allie xxxx
Truly an inveterating write, Alison....They all must fly on their own, but memories of all the good they were given, will always keep that connection, wherever life takes you all....Great, heatrwarm penning, young lady! F J R
