*the Forbidden Flower* Poem by Puja Chakraborty

*the Forbidden Flower*

At the end of the desert,
where dunes meet the sky,
in ruins, with a lamp of hope, you lie.

O my forbidden flower,
how cute you are!
In this desolate hour.

My heart is in your stalk,
where love does talk.
Love in petals, my soul
finds a forbidden rock.

In this secret garden of love,
for whom are you dedicated?
To the gods of passion or love's intricate?

O my forbidden love, my forbidden flower,
Are you waiting for me or another?
On the bosom of nature.

What a smell you have! An addiction to crave.
Like a young couple of doves, in love's sweet wave.
