Their outline glow seems palled and
The twilight reluctant to give up the light
The sun a dull emboss on weak pink,

I like the descriptiveness of the second stanza and it sets up your final thoughts beautifully.

This very interesting poem vividly focuses on nature around us, and is quite descriptive in describing some of the scenes. The dense foliage often hides not just the animals and critters of nature, but the damage done by humans as well. Not just to the forests or trees, but to fellow human beings who were murdered for some obscure reason, their bodies tossed in among the dense foliage and out of sight. The wonders of nature, and of human beings as well, when seen on the surface appear quite wonderful. But a look underneath, like your fine poem does, tells a different story. Carl.

Eddie, I just adore your imagery. 'rays like wrinkled fingers crawling. 'An aloof mantis lops off her lovers head'. And gorgeous green tops it to a climax wonderfully......Karin Anderson
