The Flower intends. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

The Flower intends.

Rating: 5.0

Neither do I want a place
in the hairy knots
of the fairy
nor do I intend to be
used in idolatry.
My desire is not to occupy
a place in the garlands
that the humans make for
multiple selfish purposes.
I intend not to be spread
on the carpets and roads
that the military uses.
O my revered gardener,
pick not me from my mother.
No other position and function
would make me happier.
I sincerely wish to be
where I am placed
by the creator.
Insects would play and
feed on me to fulfill
their programme of Nature.

A very thoughtful write. Flowers are most appreciated when they are not plucked. They look more beautiful when they are on the plant itself and everybody can enjoy their beauty. A well expressed write.
