The Flower Buds Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

The Flower Buds

Rating: 5.0

The rain comes down proud
In a heavy downpour.
The flower buds,
So shy to come out
Of their green blanket,
Bow down,
Little by little,
Until they reach the ground.

Out of the dark clouds,
The sun comes out.
Its rays throw
A warm glow,
Over the flower buds.
They rise little by little,
Come out of their green blanket,
With their hues so bright.

Very nice, Rose Marie. I like how you told about the flowers bowing down during the rain and then rising up in the sunshine.

***** THERE'S a 'flowerbed/ of Flower Buds for YOU, Rose Marie! ! Five Starflowers. Very nice; I did NOT know you were so attuned to the lives of flowers, BUT, with the name Rose (Marie) you have an 'edge' on many of us. bri : )

How fascinating are the buds that bow down with rain, then rise up with the warm glow of the sunlight.
