A beautiful elegy for Lori....... a flower of fragrance and loveliness, picked up untimely. Still its beauty and aroma persist. It is better to see a flower adorning a beautiful vase than seeing it wither and fade in its natural course. So you can console yourself that Lori adorns the garden of God now.......!
When nature's physical procedure is turned upside down, my dear Lady, unfortunatelly no god can console us, humans, who wait things run the physical way.Pleased you have noticed the elegy.I tried to be true and express the feelings of every human in front of a premature death.
Death is never easy to accept. It has been forty years since my mother died and the memories are faded. Even though she never got to know her grandchildren, she lives on through them. A dear friend of mine, Doc, died at 86 yesterday. A full life 8 children and many grand and great grandchildren, but his loss is still painful and a reminder of what waits for us all. The scent, although delicate, still lingers.
What a beautiful elegy for Lori. I am so sorry for your loss Dimitrios. Very sad. This is a beautiful poem that speaks to the beauty, fragility, and lasting influence of those we love, our flowers.
Thank you, Pamela, for your consolant words. Lori, a niece of mine, lived in Forthworth of Dallas.//Thank you for the flattering words about the elegy.May Nature bless you.
Flowers on earth live graciously giving out fragrance. Some get plucked, come fade and fall off, and others bear fruit. Beautiful poem.
Oh! thank you, I hope my elegy on a flower, my niece, to be seen as a true consolation for human's fate.
I hope you can read this message, Dimitrios. I don't know what is happening with the site today. This is a poem of great beauty and I thank you for your dedication. My daughter was called Laura and she was thirteen when she died (cystic fibrosis) . She will always be here in my heart. We never forget, nor will I ever forget your great elegy and shall add it to my favourite poems' list. please thank Kelly for mentioning you. I shall read more of your poems tomorrow. Dear Tom, excuse me for not having answered to your comment earlier.//First thank you for your kind word. Second Allow me to say that I'm honoured to to think of the poem like an elegy to your beloved daughter.Yew it belongs to everyone who departed early from this world.//The elegy is devoted to a niece of mine, Lori Lessis, who was living with her parents and sister in Forthworth of TexasShe had visited us several times. She lost her life in her 29 years in a car accident fifteen years ago..This elegy was worth of her as is is worth of all joungs whose life is not destined to last as one expects.DEVOTED TO THEM ALL.
