Cool water envelops me, so silky and smooth it caresses my skin. I swim close to the shore, marvelling trees which creep nearer the cliff edge - their branches reaching a forever awakening sky.
The soothing lap of waves against cool grey pebbles adds to the ambience of this place as well as the soft, almost inaudible mutters of the couple on the rocks.
I turn to look and their silhouettes stand stark against clear, sleepy velvet skies.
He leaves the fire behind, its smoky tendrils dance away on the wind leaving but a sweet scent as a reminder of what has been.
I draw one more deep breath and feel the glass chamber I have been living in shatter away into nothingness, leaving me a liberated and breathless being in the realism of my own insignificance.
I am so happy now, living my life without a care with my best friend.
