Time is a destroyer
Through the process of time, we age and we die
Time is a despoiler
But to the Soul,
A time for death is disqualified
From a Cosmic perspective,
Time is an endlessly repeating cycle
A recorder in the sky
Measured by the constant revolutions of the stars
An unchanging rejoinder to our lifetime
Whilst, things on Earth are always changing
The orbits of the stars always remain the same
Always burst aflame
nonetheless,
Until the test of time goes and gives a star a test The discovery of this permanent within the impermanent is the reward in the spiritual quest
Of this Soul of mine
We must accept this inevitable transitory nature of All physical things and objects and their zest
Everything and Everyone is in the Soul's process of being born and being dressed,
A stage of toil and then a stage of rest
The old must pass away so that the newest can
Come into existence
Human birth is not the beginning of the Soul
Only of its incarnation in the body as it drifts
Throughout this worldly forest
A Soul is just discarding a worn-out body
When the time comes for untimely death
Everything on Earth must be destroyed
From destruction comes the birth of living flesh
Getting ready for the last burst of fire
This time, past time,
lost in space-time
Of the fire coming next
Growing into another flame
These are lights that are Souls among men
Souls grow and fade while existing forever
Through lifetimes and death
Revising yet living in each time,
Quenched yet unquenched by the
Twilight of nighttime
Only an obstacle in the pathway
At the right time to be conquered by
Infinite light
The Fire Next Time
