Amy,
I watched an old movie recently made in my mother tongue, wherein an old and partially sick couple tired of living their dependant lives plan to die together, unfortunately the lady survives! She later explains to her grand child that, dying that way would be wrong, just living, even if she is not able to carry out any other responsibility was her responsibility and she decides to carry out THAT single responsibility as good as she can. We all share this responsibility, the responsibility to live, come what may! Your poem reminded me of that responsibility once more.
