The Fight Of Your Life (Cancer) Poem by Ray Hansell

The Fight Of Your Life (Cancer)

I hope your ready for a fight
A hard fought fifteen round bout
Because the way you handle yourself
Will tell people what you're all about

They'll see if you recover
After taking one on the chin
They'll watch you round after round
To see if you have a chance to win

Will you be able to fight back
As hard as you were hit?
Or will you fall into the corner
And on the stool just sit

Or will you bounce back
To fight another round
Waiting in your corner
Listening for the bell to sounded

Will you move against your foe
Like a storm across the sky
Will your attack be relentless
The more you must fight, the more you'll try?

When the bell rings to signify the end
Will your hand be held high in the air?
Will you be the only one left standing
As your opponent won't be seen anywhere
