The Fear Of Non-Existence Poem by Kelvin Rush

The Fear Of Non-Existence

The fear of non-existence
Is in everything we do
The cold reality is never far away
Always haunting you

Controlling your attention
Slowly destroying your mind
Trying to escape from the brutal rape
Leaving you lost and blind

Trapped in a dying body
Where ego is desperate for light
Callous and cold lost uncontrolled
Screams throughout the night

Everyone driven by madness
Consumed with anxiety and fear
Trapped in religion can't make a decision
Everything is confusing and unclear

Warped in a drug fuelled society
With everyone gasping for air
No one has a clue they don't know what to do
No one has a hope or a prayer

Walking around like zombies
Struggling day after day
The fear on non-existence
Will never go away
