The Fasting Poem by Tengre Asasiun Gurun Tengre

The Fasting

(Matthew 6: 16)
He said" When you fast, do not look somber
As the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces
To show others they're fasting." But not in chamber,
But In the plaza, they put up tents and bases.

At the broadcasting cameras, they declare
To start the fasting, with their political slogans.
Trying to disfigure their faces, they wear
The mustache and not wash. The tents look the hogans.

Being not the cameras, hastily drink the enzyme
For fasting or call the delivery service
For the Chinese Restaurant. Sleeping in daytime
But they eat in the dark without nervous.

A month or more they record the longest
Fasting days. The government compensates
For them. ‘Cause the fasting is Jaundiced
To people. But they always be the baits.
